Kelsey Diffin Killed in Eureka Pedestrian Accident on Broadway

Authorities Identify Woman Hit and Killed by Vehicle While Pushing Child in Stroller on Broadway near Harbor Lanes in Eureka as Kelsey Diffin

Eureka, California (March 10, 2020) – The woman who was struck and killed by a vehicle while she was pushing a stroller containing an infant Saturday night in Eureka has been identified as Kelsey Diffin, 25, of Eureka.

On March 7, at around 11:45 p.m., a red SUV was heading northbound on Broadway when it struck Diffin who was pushing a stroller with her child across Broadway.

Diffin suffered serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was later declared dead.

Authorities said the child was not hurt in the accident.

The SUV driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police. Authorities said neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factors in the crash.
