Jonathan Navarro ID’d as Teen Killed in Los Angeles Car Crash on 110 Freeway near Wilshire Boulevard

Los Angeles, California (April 7, 2020) – Jonathan Navarro, 16, of North Hollywood, has been identified as the boy who was killed in a Sunday night multi-vehicle crash that left three other persons injured in Los Angeles, according to authorities.

The fatal accident transpired at about 9:00 p.m., on April 5, on southbound 110 Freeway near Wilshire Boulevard.

The police said a 2012 Ford Edge, operated by an 18-year-old driver, was traveling in the No. 5 lane of the roadway when it made an unsafe turn, lost control, and crashed into the right concrete wall.

The Ford then collided with a 2006 Hyundai Azera, also driving in lane No. 5. Their collision resulted in a chain reaction involving a 2000 Nissan Quest traveling in the No. 4 lane and a 2009 Nissan Versa in the No. 5 lane, said the police.

Navarro, who was a passenger in the Ford, was pronounced dead at the scene. An 18-year-old female also a passenger in the Ford sustained minor injuries due to the crash.

The Ford driver, a male Versa driver, 59, suffered minor injuries in the mishap.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
