Jaime Garcia Suffers Minor Injuries in Butte City 2-Vehicle Crash on State Route 162 near Shasta Street

Glenn County, California (March 18, 2020) – A two-vehicle crash in Butte City left a Vina man with minor injuries last week Tuesday, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.

On March 10, at around 2:30 p.m., several firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on State Route 162, just west of Shasta Street.

As per the CHP report, Taylor Geisbrecht, 24, of Glenn, was driving a Chevy Silverado hauling a 30-foot home-built equipment transportation trailer eastbound on State Route 162, approaching a 90-degree turn when it made unsafe speed through the curve in the roadway.

As a result, Geisbrecht’s trailer overturned onto its side and struck a Ford F-250 that was heading eastbound on SR-162. The Ford acquired major damage upon the impact.

The driver of the Ford, identified as Jaime Garcia, 45, of Vina, complained of pain to the left arm after the crash. Geisbrecht and his passenger, Guadalupe Paz-Frias, 36, of Vina, were uninjured.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
