The accident happened on Highway 4 near Stallion Way at about 1:30 p.m. December 6, according to a local news source.

Castaneda was reportedly driving a 2007 Chrysler Sebring westbound on the highway when he drifted into the opposite lanes and collided with a Dodge Ram pickup driven by 51-year-old Brad Kibbee.

Castaneda sustained serious injuries and was flown to a local hospital for treatment.
