Jack Shipley Killed in Bakersfield Motorcycle Collision on China Grade Loop
Jack Shipley Killed in Northeast Bakersfield Motorcycle Accident Sunday Night
Bakersfield, California – One rider who was killed in a Northeast Bakersfield motorcycle accident that happened on Sunday night has been identified as Jack Christopher Shipley, 51 by the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.
At around, the CHP reported a fatal two-vehicle accident on China Grade Loop, just north of Alfred Harrell Highway.
A Buick Enclave was traveling southbound on China Grade Loop when it stopped on the right shoulder entering the roadway, into the path of a Suzuki 600 motorcycle traveling southbound.
Shipley was driving the motorcycle who crashed into the driver’s side of the Buick.
Due to the crash, Shipley was ejected from his motorcycle.
The authorities stated that Shipley sustained critical injuries due to the accident and died.
No other injuries were reported.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
