CHP Investigating Sacramento Car Accident on Interstate 80 Freeway near Chiles Road
Sacramento, California (March 27, 2020) – Injuries were reported following a two-vehicle collision that happened in the area of West Sacramento Thursday afternoon.
According to a California Highway Patrol report, a black Chevrolet Tahoe SUV and silver Kia Optima compact car collided on the westbound Interstate 80 Freeway near Chiles Road at about 2:42 p.m.
Due to the impact of the collision, the SUV overturned and wound up in the slow lane while the Kia caught fire.
All injured victims were attended to by medical personnel who responded at the scene shortly after the wreck.
The detectives handling the case are gathering more evidence to identify the cause of the accident.
