Tulare County Truck Crash at Road 328 and Road 80 Kills 2 and Critically Injured 1
Tulare County, California (May 19, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances that led to a fatal traffic collision that happened at Road 328 and Road 80 in Tulare County at around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday
The accident involved a commercial farming truck that was making a lane change and a 2010 Prius moving southbound on Road 80 toward Visalia at a high rate of speed.
The Prius driver, a 20-year-old man, reportedly struck the rear of the truck Tuesday morning.
A 17-year-old girl riding in the Prius died at the scene. The male party operating the Prius died at Kaweah Delta Medical Center while undergoing treatment.
Officials said a second 18-year-old passenger sustained critical injuries and was also hospitalized at Kaweah Delta Medical Center.
Meanwhile, a loaded gun was recovered inside the car, and Marijuana plants were scattered across the crash site.
The fatal accident remains under investigation.
