Fatality Reported Following Santa Rosa Truck Crash on Highway 101 near Bicentennial Way

Santa Rosa, California (February 4, 2020) – A fatality was reported following a traffic accident that occurred early Tuesday morning in Santa Rosa, according to the California Highway Patrol.

At about 12:25 a.m., the CHP received a report about the collision on U.S. Highway 101 off-ramp near the Bicentennial Way exit.

A big rig and a car were involved in the crash, the CHP report states. The car became wedged underneath the truck in the northbound lanes of the highway.

Fatality was confirmed in the crash, but the number of parties killed was not mentioned in the report.

A SigAlert was issued, blocking the off-ramp.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
