Fatal Car Crash on Riverside Freeway in Corona
1 Killed in Corona Car Accident on Riverside Freeway near Maple Street
Corona, California (May 4, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a fatal car accident that transpired Monday at about 2:40 a.m. on westbound Riverside (91) Freeway near Maple Street in Corona.
The California Highway Patrol said a white sedan and a white box truck collided, leaving one person dead.
According to a witness, the truck crashed into the sedan, which was facing the wrong way in the slow lane. Reportedly, the sedan had no warning lights flashing at the time of the accident.
A female party was rushed to Riverside Community Hospital by emergency crews for treatment. Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to her injuries.
CHP is investigating the cause of the crash.
