Man Killed, Woman Injured After 2-Vehicles Crashed in Bakersfield
Bakersfield, California (January 28, 2020) – A traffic collision involving two vehicles in the area of Bakersfield at about 3:30 p.m. on Monday resulted in the death of a male party.
The two-vehicle crash occurred at South Edison Road and Hermosa Road on January 27.
Police said the accident involved a Toyota Corolla that was heading south on South Edison Road and a Ford F-150 pickup driven by a male party westbound on Hermosa Road.
The initial report indicated that the pickup failed to stop for a stop sign at the time of the collision.
The Ford motorist, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected upon the impact. Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.
The Toyota operator, who was identified as a female party, was hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
Authorities have not yet been released the names of both the deceased and the injured parties.
The cause of the accident remains under an active investigation.
