Eileen McNulty Flown to Hospital after Pioneertown Vehicle Crash on Pioneertown Road
Pioneertown, California (March 2, 2020) – 25-year-old Eileen McNulty of Los Angeles has been identified as one of the three injured in a vehicle crash that took place on Friday, February 28, at around 8:15 p.m in Pioneertown, according to a police report.
Authorities said the driver of a Ram 2500 was driving in the wrong direction when sideswiped a Hyundai Accent heading southbound on the roadway.
The Ram continued traveling in the wrong direction, and it collided head-on with a Honda Odyssey driven by McNulty.
The crash was reported on on Pioneertown Road south of Chateau Road.
The driver of the Ram and a passenger in the Honda suffered major injuries, and they were taken to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs by Morongo Basin Ambulance.
McNulty was flown by a CHP helicopter to Loma Linda Medical Center.
The driver of the Ram was determined to be driving under the influence and was arrested for felony DUI. He was book into West Valley Detention Center upon his release from the hospital.
No other injuries were reported in the crash.
The collision remains under investigation.
