Eddie Avalos ID’d as Man Killed in Sacramento Moped Accident on 66th Avenue
Sacramento, California (March 13, 2020) – Eddie Felix Avalos, 62, of Sacramento, has been identified as the man who was killed in a moped accident on Tuesday night in Sacramento, according to police.
The crash occurred at about 7:20 p.m., on March 10, on 66th Avenue.
The police said Avalos was operating a 2008 Lancer Moped and was exiting a private road when he entered into the path of a 2005 Acura MDX that was traveling on the 66th Avenue.
As a result of the collision, Avalos was ejected from his moped and landed onto the roadway, according to the police.
Avalos was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The 19-year-old man remained on the scene and was cooperative, according to the police.
Intoxication was not a factor in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
