Serious Injuries Reported After 3 Vehicles Collided on 80 Freeway in Colfax

Colfax, California (February 18, 2020) – A multi-vehicle collision that took place in the area of Colfax on Monday afternoon resulted in serious injuries to at least one person, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The major injury crash was reported at about 2 p.m. in the westbound lanes of 80 Freeway, just a mile east of Highway 174.

As per the CHP report, three vehicles of unspecified builts crashed on the highway for reasons still under investigation.

At least one person sustained serious injuries in the crash. The patient was attended to by medical personnel and then rushed to an area hospital for further treatment.

The detectives handling the case are gathering more evidence to determine the cause of the accident.
