Christopher Mansfield Suffers Major Injuries in Sonora Car Accident on Parrotts Ferry Road near Porcina Way

Sonora, California (April 21, 2020) – Three people were injured Friday night in an alleged DUI car accident in Sonora, according to a local news source.

The crash happened at around 9:35 p.m. Friday, April 17 on Parrotts Ferry Road, just north of Porcina Way.

As per the report, Anna Marie Veredas, 46, of Sonora, was driving a 2017 Honda Civic southbound on Parrotts Ferry Road when she crossed over the double yellow lines into the northbound lane and collided head-on with an oncoming 2003 Ford Explorer driven by Christopher Brian Mansfield, 63, of Murphys.

Mr. Mansfield was taken to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto with major injuries.

Ms. Veredas and a passenger in the Mansfield’s vehicle, Judith Ellen Lawrence, 64, of Murphys, were both taken to Adventist Health Sonora for treatment of minor to moderate injuries.

Ms. Veredas, who was suspected of having been driving under the influence of alcohol, was arrest for felony DUI.

The accident remains under investigation.
