CHP Investigating Fatal Palmdale Car Accident at 170th Street East and Palmdale Boulevard

Palmdale, California (February 2, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a fatal traffic collision that took place in the area of Palmdale on Saturday evening.
The two-vehicle accident happened in the area of 170th Street East and Palmdale Boulevard, Los Angeles, on February 1.
The accident involved a white pickup truck and a red pickup truck that crashed at the intersection at approximately 8:30 p.m. Due to the impact, two people were trapped in each of the involved vehicles.
Los Angeles County Fire Department officers arrived at the site shortly after the crash and extricated the pinned victims from the wreckage.
Officials said two victims were taken to hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
One unidentified victim died in the accident.
The fatal crash remains under an active investigation.
