Child Hurt in Coalinga Pedestrian Accident at Van Ness Avenue and Sunset Street

Coalinga Pedestrian Crash at Van Ness Avenue and Sunset Street Sent 1 to Hospital

Coalinga, California (January 17, 2019) – A kid sustained minor injuries in a pedestrian accident that took place in the area of Coalinga on Thursday, a local news source reported.

The pedestrian collision occurred in the area of Van Ness Avenue and Sunset Street on January 16.

Police said the young pedestrian was crossing the intersection in a marked crosswalk when was struck by a vehicle turning left from Sunset Street onto Van Ness Avenue.

The pedestrian sustained minor injuries following the wreck. The juvenile was attended to by medical personnel and then rushed to Valley Children’s Hospital for further medication.

Meanwhile, the identity and the current condition of the patient remain unknown to this time.

It was not clear whether or not the involved motorist stopped after the crash and cooperated with the investigation.

The investigation is underway.
