Chad Fournier Killed in Crash on Highway 99 in South Sacramento

Chad Fournier Fatal Pedestrian Crash in South Sacramento on Highway 99

South Sacramento, California (January 31, 2020) – A 39-year-old man who was struck and killed by a vehicle on Thursday night in South Sacramento, has been identified as Chad Fournier, police said.

The collision was reported at around 7:10 p.m.January 30, on Highway 99, just south of the 47th Avenue.

The California Highway Patrol said Fournier was running from the right shoulder into the roadway when a truck struck him.

Fournier was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the big rig stopped and cooperated with the police.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
