1 Killed and 1 Hurt in Fresno Big Rig Accident on Highway 99 near Herndon Avenue
Fresno, California (April 17, 2020) – A traffic collision involving a big rig on Highway 99, near Herndon Avenue in Fresno on Thursday, April 16, resulted in the death of one person.
According to a local news source, a car rear-ended the truck along the highway for unknown reasons.
Due to the impact of the collision, the car rolled over, and two occupants were pinned in the wreckage.
The trapped victims were extricated from the wreckage by emergency crews who arrived at the scene shortly after the wreck.
Sadly, an occupant riding in the car was declared dead at the crash site. The motorist was taken to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.
The CHP is still investigating to determine the cause of the accident.
