Fatal Pico Rivera Pedestrian Crash at Paramount Boulevard and Slauson Avenue
Pico Rivera, Calfornia (January 10, 2020) – A 15-year-old boy was struck and killed by a vehicle on Friday afternoon in Pico Rivera, suspect arrested, as per police report.
The deadly crash took place at around 3:00 p.m. January 10, at Paramount Boulevard and Slauson Avenue.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said the boy was riding a skateboard across the roadway, within a marked crosswalk, with three others when a box truck hit him.
The boy was severely injured and rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to the injuries,
The driver of the truck, only described as a 58-year-old man, was found and arrested on suspicion of a hit-and-run.
No other details of the crash were immediately released.
Police are still investigating the crash.
