Boy Killed in 3-Car Crash on 110 Freeway in Los Angeles

16-Year-Old Boy Dies after Los Angeles Car Accident on 110 Freeway near Wilshire Boulevard

Los Angeles, California (April 7, 2020) – A 16-year-old boy was killed, and three other people were injured in a three-vehicle crash on Sunday night in Los Angeles, according to police.

The deadly accident occurred on southbound 110 Freeway, south of Wilshire Boulevard, at around 9:08 p.m., on April 5.

A 2012 Ford Edge lost control and crashed into a concrete wall. The Ford then collided with a 2006 Hyundai Azera. Both vehicles were traveling in the No. 5 lane, according to the police.

A 2009 Nissan Versa in the No. 5 lane and a 2000 Nissan Quest in the No. 4 lane of the freeway were also involved in the mishap.

The 16-year-old boy in the Ford Edge died at the scene following the crash.

The Ford Edge driver, an 18-year-old person, and a 59-year-old driver operating the Nissan Versa suffered minor injuries. A passenger in the Ford, an 18-year-old woman, sustained minor injuries.

More details about the crash were not immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
