1 Injured in Victorville Truck Accident at 5th Avenue and Bear Valley Road Friday morning

Victorville, California (March 23, 2020) – One person sustained injuries Friday morning after a large box truck and an SUV collided at a Victorville intersection, authorities said.

At around 8:12 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2020, emergency personnel responded to the crash at the intersection of 5th Avenue and Bear Valley Road.

Authorities said an SUV was heading eastbound on Bear Valley and was attempting to turn left onto Fifth Avenue against a red light when it collided with a large box truck was heading westbound on Bear Valley.

The SUV driver was taken to a nearby hospital with head injuries. The driver of the box truck declined medical transportation to the hospital.

Police closed westbound lanes of Bear Valley Road during the investigation.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
