Male Rider Hospitalized after Isla Vista Bicycle Accident on Camino Del Sur Friday night

Isla Vista, California (May 16, 2020) – A traffic accident in Isla Vista left a bicycle rider injured Friday night, authorities said.

The accident happened in the 800 block of Camino Del Sur a little after 9:00 p.m. Friday, May 15.

The bicyclist reportedly pulled out from a drive into the roadway and was struck by a vehicle that was heading northbound on Camino Del Sur.

The male rider sustained a possible broken leg and was transported to a local hospital. His name and condition at this time were not disclosed.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
