Bicyclist Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Orangethorpe Avenue near Acacia Avenue in Fullerton

1 Killed in Fullerton Bicycle Accident on Orangethorpe Avenue near Acacia Avenue

Fullerton, California (April 22, 2020) – A bicyclist was struck and killed by a vehicle along Orangethorpe Avenue, near Acacia Avenue in Fullerton Tuesday afternoon.

According to a local news source, a bicycle and a vehicle of unspecified type collided in the 1900 block of the highway at about 2:53 p.m. April 21.

The involved motorist stopped after the wreck and cooperated with the law.

Despite Life-saving measures by Fullerton police officers and Fullerton fire paramedics, the rider was pronounced dead at the scene. Pending notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.

The crash resulted in the closure of a section of Orangethorpe Avenue from Brookhurst Road to Gilbert Street as investigation and clean-up took place.

Neither drugs nor alcohol were suspected factors in the accident. An investigation into the crash is underway.
