Bakersfield DUI Car Crash on Ashe Road Near Ellis Avenue Sent 3 to Hospital

3 Injured in Bakersfield Car Accident on Ashe Road Near Ellis Avenue 

Bakersfield, California (March 17, 2020)  Three people were hospitalized after being involved in an alleged DUI car crash that took place in the area of Bakersfield Monday night.

According to a local news source, a total of three people were injured after a pickup truck collided with a sedan that was heading northbound on Ashe Road at approximately 7:45 p.m. March 16.

The initial report indicated that the pickup truck was making a left turn onto Ashe Road from Ellis Avenue before the sedan slammed into it at the Southwest Bakersfield intersection.

A passenger riding in the pickup and its motorist sustained injuries in the wreck.

The sedan operator, who was identified as a male party, also appeared hurt following the collision.

All three patients were taken to hospitals by medical personnel for treatment of moderate injuries.

Officials affirmed that the two drivers were intoxicated at the time of the collision.

The accident remains under an active investigation.
