1 Injured, 1 Arrested in Fremont Car Accident at Mowry and Farwell Drive

Fremont, California (February 10, 2020) – At least two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Sunday night in Fremont, according to police.

The crash happened at about 1: 50 a.m. February 9, at Mowry and Farwell Drive, just east of Interstate Highway 880.

The police found a wanted car and held the suspect at gunpoint, waiting for backup when the suspect hit their vehicle with the infinity sedan he was driving and was able to escape.

A pursuit began heading west on Mowry Avenue through several red lights. The suspect struck another vehicle at the intersection. The 16-year-old male suspect fled on foot but was arrested.

The driver of the other car was trapped and was aided by emergency crews

The involved motorist and the suspect were taken to a local hospital with significant injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
