What to do after Leaving an Accident Scene

Here is a piece of advice by Arin Khodaverdian, President and Managing Partner at Alpine Law Group, on what you should do after leaving an accident scene. These actions will help you protect your rights, which is an essential step in recovering damages.

Mr. Khodaverdian says you should contact your insurance company and inform them about the accident as soon as possible. Obtain a copy of the police report on the accident or other drivers and keep details of your injuries and physical and mental conditions. Keep a detailed record of your medical treatment and obtain a property damage valuation.
