At Least One Person Suffers Major Injuries in Vista Crash on State Route 78 near Vista Village Drive

Vista, California (December 10, 2019) – At least one person sustained serious injuries following a multi-vehicle crash that happened Tuesday morning in Vista, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred just before 5:00 a.m. on State Route 78 near Vista Village Drive.

As per the CHP report, several vehicles collided on State Route 78 for undetermined reasons.

At least one person suffered major injuries as a result of the crash. The name of the patient and their current condition were not immediately available.

As of 6:15 a.m., all eastbound lanes of state Route 7 were closed as the police investigated the cause of the crash and cleared the scene.

An investigation into the wreck is underway.
