Sylmar Truck Accident on 210 Freeway at Paxton Street

Sylmar, California (December 7, 2019) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a traffic collision that resulted in unspecified injuries to at least one person in Sylmar on Friday afternoon.

 The traffic collision involving a big rig truck happened at approximately 12:29 p.m. on the eastbound Interstate 210 Freeway at Paxton Street.

A grey Toyota car collided with the truck after it spun around and ended up facing the wrong way in the No. 1 lane.

The initial report indicated that the Toyota veered across multiple traffic lanes and cut in front of the truck in the No. 2 lane.

Officials said At least one person was injured following the wreck. 

Both the fast lane and the No. 2 lane were closed down as police conducted the investigation.

Tow trucks were called to remove both vehicles from the scene of the accident.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
