Ashley Sanchez ID’d as Woman Killed in Fresno Train Crash on Fruit and Ashlan Avenues
Fresno, California (May 26, 2020) – Ashley Sanchez, 19, has been identified as the woman who was killed in a train accident on Friday night in central Fresno, police said.
At about 11:30 p.m., on May 22, the officials responded to the deadly crash on Fruit and Ashlan Avenues.
The police said Sanchez was struck by a train on the railroad for unknown reasons.
As per the police report, the train was unable to stop before hitting Sanchez.
Sanchez was pronounced dead at the scene.
The intersection of Fruit and Ashlan Avenues was closed temporally.
No further details about the crash were immediately available.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
