Andrew Haslem In Critical Condition after Bicycle Crash on Highway 54 in Santa Barbara

Andrew Haslem Suffers Major Injuries in Santa Barbara Bicycle Accident on Highway 54 near San Antonio Creek Road

Santa Barbara, California (May 3, 2020) – A bicyclist sustained major injuries in a collision with a car in Santa Barbara Saturday morning, according to a local news source.

The accident, which was reported at around 9:43 a.m. Saturday, May 2, happened on Highway 154 near San Antonio Creek Road.

As per the report, Andrew Haslem, 22, of Los Altos, was riding his bicycle down Highway 154 toward Santa Barbara, At the same time, a Toyota Prius was traveling in the same direction.

For reasons still under investigation, Haslem collided with the Prius.

Haslem, who is a UC Santa Barbara student, was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with major injuries. He was listed in critical condition.

Police closed the roadway as they investigated the accident.
