Aide Bustamante ID’d as 1 of 2 Killed in Downey Car Accident on 5 Freeway near Paramount Boulevard

Downey, California (May 25, 2020) – Authorities have identified Aide Bustamante, 32, of Huntington Beach, as one of the two persons who were killed in a two-car accident on Saturday afternoon in Downey.

At about 2:30 p.m., on May 23, the police responded to the deadly crash on Santa Ana (5) Freeway off-ramp, just north of Paramount Boulevard.

As per the officials’ report, a southbound Fiat 500, driven by Cash Rencanzone, of Peoria, Arizona, veered right and rear-ended a Nissan Sentra.

The crash impact sent the Nissan, driven by Bustamante, down an embankment and crashing into a tree.

Bustamante and his female passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.

Rencanzone fled the scene on foot but was later arrested by police.

Drugs or alcohol were not believed to have played a role in the accident.
