Fatal Mira Mesa Pedestrian Crash on Mira Mesa Boulevard

Mira Mesa, California (January 24, 2020) – An 86-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle on Thursday night in Mira Mesa, as per a police report.

The collision took place at around 8:00 p.m. January 23, on Mira Mesa Boulevard near Alderman Avenue.

The San Diego Police Department said the man was crossing the street when a Lexus SUV, driven by a 52-year-old driver, struck him.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The drier was not injured in the collision.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
