Bicyclist Seriously Injured in Los Osos Hit-And-Run Accident on Tuesday Morning

Los Osos, California – Following a Los Osos hit-and-run accident that occurred on Los Osos Valley Road near Sombrero Drive on Tuesday morning, a bicycle rider sustained major injuries and then hospitalized.

A 49-year-old woman from San Luis Obispo hit a bicycle and fled the scene. The vehicle then crashed at Foothill Boulevard and Santa Rosa Avenue in San Luis Obispo, the police stated.

A 66-year-old Los Osos man has been identified as the bicycle rider. He was rushed to the hospital sustaining major injuries.

Meanwhile, the driver was arrested on charges of hit-and-run and DUI.

The accident remains under investigation.
