2 Adults, 3 Children Injured in North Hills Car Accident on Nordhoff Street
North Hills, California (March 10, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Monday night suspected DUI accident that left two adults and three juveniles injured in North Hills, Los Angeles.
At about 11:45 p.m., on March 9, the police responded to a crash involving two vehicles in the 15200 block of Nordhoff Street.
A white Toyota Sequoia swerved into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on with a black SUV. The Toyota was traveling eastbound on Nordhoff towards Sepulveda Boulevard at the time, according to the police
Following the accident, the female driver of the Toyota was extricated from the wreckage by firefighters.
Twins aged between 4 to 6 months, a 2 to 3 years-old child and their mother were on board the Toyota. They were all hospitalized at Holy Cross with moderate to severe injuries. One of the twins was later airlifted to UCLA Medical Center in critical condition.
The SUV driver was also taken to Holy Cross with minor injuries.
The police believed the woman was intoxicated when the crash occurred.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
