5 Injured, 1 Critically in Phelan Car Crash on Highway 138 near Highway 2
Phelan, California (June 11, 2020) – Five people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday morning in Phelan, San Bernardino County, police said.
The crash occurred on Highway 138 between Sheep Creek Road and Highway 2, at about 8:14 a.m., on June 10.
As per the police report, a GMC pickup truck collided head-on with a minivan on the highway. The factors that contributed to the accident are yet to be known.
One patient sustained serious injuries and was flown to a trauma center in critical condition.
Four other victims suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. They were also taken to a hospital for treatment.
No further details about the accident were immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
