Fatal San Diego Pedestrian Crash on University Avenue

San Diego, California – A 46-year-old man was killed following a San Diego pedestrian accident on Monday night that occurred on University Avenue.

The San Diego Police stated that the man was walking across University Avenue on a crosswalk when he was hit by a 2007 Nissan Maxima sedan traveling eastbound.

The man was declared as dead at the accident scene however his name was not disclosed because of the pending family notification.

On August 24, the accident occurred just before 7:40 pm between the 36th and 37th streets.

The Nissan driver was identified as a 52-year-old woman and she stayed at the scene while cooperating with the authorities.

Alcohol or drugs were not suspected to play a role in the accident.

The accident remains under investigation.
