1 Killed, 2 Hospitalized, Driver Arrested in Pauma Valley DUI Crash on State Route 76 near Pauma Reservation Road
Pauma Valley, California (January 3, 2020) – A 43-year-old woman was killed in suspected DUI crash on Thursday night in Pauma Valley, according to a local news source.
The fatal collision occurred at around 10:30 p.m. January 2, on State Road 76 near Pauma Reservation Road.
According to authorities, a 2010 Toyota Prius crossed over double-yellow lines and crashed head-on into an Infiniti sedan.
The 43-year-old woman from Riverside County, the driver of the Infiniti, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
23-year-old Prius driver was rushed to the hospital, where she was later arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of drugs.
Another woman, a passenger in the Infiniti, from San Marcos, was also taken to the hospital for treatment.
The crash is still under investigation.
