32-Year-Old Motorcyclist Injured in Scotts Valley Accident on State Highway 17
Santa Cruz Man Seriously Injured in Scotts Valley Motorcycle Crash On Friday
Scotts Valley, California – The CHP is investigating the cause of the Scotts Valley motorcycle accident that occurred on the State Highway 17 on Friday.
The CHP stated that a 32-year-old man from Santa Cruz was riding his motorcycle south on Highway 17 when suddenly he went down on the pavement north of Sugarloaf Road.
The motorcyclist was hit by a 2014 Peterbilt truck trailer that was traveling alongside the rider. He was taken to the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center for the treatment of his severe injuries.
Meanwhile, the truck driver, a 54 yeard old resident of Los Banos was not injured in the accident.
The California Highway Patrol has stated that there was no role of alcohol or drugs in the accident.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
