3 Injured in 2-Car Crash on Highway 24 in Lafayette

3 Hurt, Suallah Lloyd Arrested after Lafayette Car Accident on Highway 24 near Acalanes Road

Lafayette, California (April 8, 2020) – Three people were injured in an alleged DUI car accident on Tuesday night in Lafayette, according to police.

The crash occurred at about 11:30 p.m., on April 7, on westbound Highway 24 near the Acalanes Road exit.

The police said a Honda sedan, driven by Suallah Hatari Lloyd, 30, of Oakland, was traveling at a high rate of speed when it struck a fire truck that was used to block the road after a previous accident on the highway.

Three persons who were in the fire truck sustained minor injuries as a result of the impact. Lloyd, the only occupant in the Honda, was unconscious due to the accident and was aided by the first responders.

Lloyd was taken to a hospital for further treatment and was later arrested for an alleged DUI.

The crash remains under investigation.

Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, Mr. Arin Khodaverdian believes that car accident claims are rarely straightforward regardless of the circumstances involved. “Liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim and it is crucial, therefore, to have an experienced attorney on your side,” He said.

Mr. Khodaverdian has worked for many years as a wrongful death and personal injury attorney. He and his team of attorneys has helped thousands of injury victims and their families recover over $100 million in compensation. “In one case, we recovered a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim who was killed by a negligent driver.”

Swift action by an experienced attorney helps preserve evidence, interview witnesses, and begin to pursue those responsible for the incident.
