Three Injured in North Hollywood Crash at North Tujunga Avenue and Erwin Street

North Hollywood, California (February 11, 2019) – According to a local news source, three people were hospitalized Tuesday afternoon after a traffic accident involving a stolen vehicle in North Hollywood.

The crash occurred in the area of North Tujunga Avenue and Erwin Street at about 12:40 p.m.

Police said they were attempting to stop a stolen vehicle, but the driver accelerated and slammed into a truck at the North Hollywood intersection .

Two people in the stolen car were trapped and were freed by emergency responders. They were then taken to a nearby hospital with critical injuries.

Another patient was also transported to the hospital in unknown condition.

The intersection of Erwin Street and Tujunga Avenue was shut down following the crash.

The accident remains under investigation.
