3 Struck and Seriously Injured by Vehicle on Sports Arena Boulevard in San Diego
San Diego, California (January 4, 2020) – Three pedestrians were struck and seriously injured by an alleged hit-and-run driver on Friday night in San Diego, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The hit-and-run pedestrian collision took place at about 9:30 p.m. January 3, in the 3500 block of Sports Arena Boulevard
Police said, two women and a man were struck by a silver 2000 Ford Mustang driven by 54-year-old Marc Wohlfeil while crossing the street.
Marc Wohlfeil did not stop to render aid and escaped from the scene.
All three pedestrians were transported to area hospitals for treatment of serious injuries sustained in the wreck.
Wohlfeil was later arrested and will be possibly charged with felony DUI and felony hit-and-run.
Meanwhile, the CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
