Injuries Reported After Sacramento Big Rig Crash on 80 Freeway at Antelope Road
Sacramento, California (March 27, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances that lead to the collision of two vehicles on the Interstate 80 Freeway at Antelope Road in Sacramento Thursday evening.
Two people were trapped after a big rig crashed into an SUV on the eastbound lanes of the freeway shortly before 8:00 p.m.
Firefighters responded to the crash scene immediately and extricated the pinned victims from the wreckage.
The identities and the current conditions of the involved victims remain unknown to this time.
It was not clear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the mishap.
More details regarding the accident will be released immediately after the CHP completes the investigation.
