2 Pedestrians Struck, Injured by Vehicle on Del Amo and Long Beach Boulevards in Long Beach
2 Men Seriously Injured in Long Beach Pedestrian Accident on Del Amo and Long Beach Boulevards; Charlette Colton Arrested
Long Beach, California (March 26, 2020) – A hit-and-run accident in Long Beach left two men with serious injuries Tuesday afternoon, according to authorities.
The crash was reported at around 12:40 p.m. Tuesday, March 24 on Del Amo and Long Beach boulevards.
Authorities said the two men were separating a towing equipment in the far right lane of Del Amo Boulevard when they were struck by a minivan whose driver fled the scene.
The two men were transported to a nearby hospital, where one of them was listed in critical condition. Their names were not immediately disclosed.
The driver, identified as Charlette Anne Colton, 50, of Lakewood, was later located and arrested on suspicion of DUI causing injury and felony hit-and-run. Her bail was set at $100,000.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
