Two Men Killed in Modesto Big Rig Accident on Highway 132 near Hart Road
Modesto, California (March 21, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a truck accident that left two people dead on Saturday morning in Modesto.
The deadly accident occurred at about 6:50 a.m. on Highway 132 near Hart Road.
The police said a big rig was heading westbound on Highway 132 when it broadsided a Volvo that was traveling southbound on Hart Road.
The driver of the Volvo, a 28-year-old man, and his passenger, a 22-year-old man, were both declared dead at the scene.
A 39-year-old Tracy resident, who the driver of the truck, was not injured in the accident.
Drugs and alcohol were not believed to have played a role in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
