2 Injured in Rollover Crash at Garden Street and Cota Street in Santa Barbara
1 Hospitalized after Santa Barbara Multi-Vehicle Crash on Garden Street and Cota Street
Santa Barbara, California (March 18, 2020) – Two people were injured after several cars were involved in a rollover crash on Wednesday morning in Santa Barbara, according to Santa Barbara Fire Department.
The accident was reported at around 10:00 a.m. March 18, at Garden Street and Cota Street.
Authorities said the driver of a Tahoe might have suffered a medical emergency, one block away from the scene of the crash.
According to a witness, the driver of the Tahoe suddenly ran a stop sign before striking a Volkswagen. He then struck three other cars, rolled on top of a green car, and flipped over.
A total of eight cars were involved in the collision.
At least one person was reportedly trapped in the vehicle following the crash
At least two people were injured in the crash. One person was treated at the scene while the other person was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The condition of the victims was not disclosed.
The crash remains under investigation.
