Two Hurt in Southcrest Car Accident on Interstate 5
Southcrest, California (February 26, 2020) – Two people were injured in a crash involving two vehicles on Wednesday morning in Southcrest, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at about 9:45 a.m. on northbound I-5, just south of Interstate 15.
The police said a BMW sedan and a Toyota Prius were involved in the crash. The reasons that led to the collision are yet to be established.
The BMW was traveling at a high rate of speed before the collision, according to a witness.
Two people in the Prius sustained injuries, with one of them hospitalized with significant injuries.
The left lane of the highway was closed for an unspecified duration.
The crash remains under investigation.
