2 Hurt, 1 Seriously in Murrieta Truck Accident on 215 Freeway near Los Alamos Road

Murrieta, California (May 17, 2020) – Two people were injured in a truck accident on Saturday morning in Murrieta, according to a local news source.

At around 1:55 a.m. On May 16, the police responded to the crash on 215 Freeway near Los Alamos Road.

According to the authorities, a sedan car crashed into a wrecked truck on the freeway. An occupant in the vehicle was trapped as a result of the collision.

The wrecked truck had, for unknown reasons, lost control and crashed into a guardrail on the right shoulder of the freeway. The truck came to a rest on its side, blocking the leftmost lanes of 215 Freeway, said the officials.

The trapped victim was freed by the first responders. The victim was then transported to a hospital with major injuries.

The truck driver declined to be taken to a hospital and was aided at the crash site by the emergency crews.

Traffic on two lanes of the freeway was stopped for several hours.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
