2 Hurt in Butte County Car Accident on Highway 70 near Ophir Road
Butte County, California (February 1, 2020) – Two people were hospitalized after a car crash on Friday afternoon near Oroville in Butte County, according to authorities.
The crash happened at about 2:00 p.m., January 31, on Highway 70, just south of Ophir Road.
The authorities said five vehicles including a truck pulling a trailer were involved in the crash.
Two people were hospitalized with minor injuries sustained in the crash.
Authorities blocked the roadway for approximately twenty minutes following the collision.
Police did not suspect alcohol to have contributed to the crash.
More details about the crash were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
