One killed in Single-Car Crash on Paradise Valley Road in Paradise Hills

Paradise Hills, California – Following a Paradise Hills accident that happened on Wednesday, an 18-year-old girl was killed.

According to the San Diego Police, a 19-year-old man was driving a 1992 Mercedes westbound on Paradise Valley Road with four passengers. While trying to make a left turn onto southbound lanes of Munda Road, the driver went off the roadway and then crashed down an embankment.

On September 23, at around 2 am, the accident happened and five occupants of the vehicle got out and made their way back to the street.

However, one 18-year-old girl was critically injured and was taken to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

Meanwhile, the driver reportedly fled the scene but was later found hiding in bushes few blocks away and was arrested.

The driver was booked on charges of felony hit-and-run and vehicular manslaughter.

The identity of the deceased girl is not released pending family notification.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
