15-Year-Old Boy Killed in Crash on Lafayette Street and Agnew Road in Santa Clara

Fatal Santa Clara Pedestrian Crash on Lafayette Street and Agnew Road

Santa Clara, California (February 17, 2020) – A 15-year-old boy was struck and killed by a vehicle on Sunday at around 9:21 p.m. in Santa Clara, police said.

Authorities responded to the scene of the crash at the intersection of Lafayette Street and Agnew Road.

According to the report, a Honda Accord was driving in the southbound lanes of Lafayette Street and had a green light on it. The boy was walking westbound through the intersection, going against the “Do Not Walk” sign when a vehicle struck him.

The boy, only identified as a 15-year-old, a resident of Santa Clara, was killed in the crash.

The driver involved stopped and cooperated with the police.

The Intersection was closed for several hours while traffic investigators worked.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
